When you were born your self worth was at an all time high, as was your net worth. You were a perfect 10, a miracle. Then as your grew into the real world you got exposed to it all. As a child you had courage, and still maintained a high self worth, but then what happened as you grew older?
You got exposed to family, friends, religion, politics, events, recognition, criticism, etc. and basically you let the outside influences come inside and effect your self worth. Your self worth started to decreased, because most of the outside influences were not necessarily positive.
I can remember as a young boy being recognized and praised on how cute I was because I had dimples. For the first 12 years of my life I was told how cute I was, so what was I to believe – I was cute. That gave me confidence, respect and a feeling of self worth.

Do you have an employee retention strategies? Are they working for you? If so, great and this may not be of benefit to you. However, if you do not have an employee retention strategy allow me to share a one of basics of employee retention with you.
Employees, as they are people, are the most important asset in every organization My belief is that if you take care of your people, they will take care of the bottom line. In order to retain your bottom line, you need to retain your people.
Whether you agree, or not, you would not have a bottom line without people. Therefore, before there even is a bottom line you need the people, particularly good people. Once you find them, train them and get them to a state of high performance, you do not want to loose them. That is why employee retention strategies are so important.
So, how do we retain our best employees, while encouraging others to perform better?

Research claims that over 70% of self talk is negative. Self talk is a common destroyer of self esteem, self confidence and self respect in our population today. However, if self-talk is controlled it can be the greatest builder of self-esteem, self respect and self confidence.
Think about how often you are engaged in self talk. What are you saying to yourself? Are you even aware of what you are saying to yourself? Is it negative or is it positive? Most people are not even aware of their self talk and the effects it can have! That is the problem.
Henry Ford said it best – Whether you think you can, or you can’t, you are absolutely right.
