Sales motivation supports and contributes to the bottom line and the future growth of your organization.
Which one is more important to you? Which one are you contributing to?
Sales is the blood line to every organization. If there is no sales motivation to sell, then there isn’t any sales activity. Without sales, there are no transactions. The cycle continues and consequently, the lack of transactions leads to no revenue. The fall in revenue leads to the demise of an organization and thusly, the loss of jobs. Setting financial goals in 2009 is no different than at any other time. However, this year more than ever before, your goals must be far more realistic. You’ll need to understand what you can and cannot control. It is important you be aware of the obstacles you may encounter along the way and have a contingency plan in place. You should be increasingly disciplined with your goal actions and aim for completion.
This year is predicted to be a year of an uncertain economy. Reaching financial goals in an uncertain economy can be a challenge nevertheless; the following tips will positively help.

Increasing sales in a weak economy requires twice as much discipline and effort than most sales people have been accustomed to over the past few years. It is time to step up, do more and prove you are a true sales professional. Now is sales opportunity time and not order taking time.
The buyers are not out looking for you, your company and its products or services any longer. A sales person needs to locate them and there are fewer buyers nowadays.

Personal Goal Setting

Jesse Owens says, “We all have dreams, but in order to make these dreams into reality it takes an awful lot of determination, self-discipline and effort.”
It requires the same determination, self-discipline and effort to keep New Year’s Resolutions and to follow through on goals as it does to be successful.
Let’s understand the meaning of each of these words:
Determination
The power and habit of firm decision making directed toward a particular goal and end result
Discipline
A commitment to yourself to do what you have to do even when you don’t want to do it
Effort
Amount of total work completed to reach a particular end result
Success
Achieving worthwhile goals
