Greetings from home,

Last week I celebrated my birthday and woke up to many birthday greetings from all over the world. A big thank you goes out to everyone who took the time to send me a special greeting. There is no need to send any more. The highlight of my day was my three year old granddaughter singing "Happy Birthday" to me over the phone.

I wish I could have recorded it and shared it with you. It was unbelievable.

Earlier in the week it was my mother's 92nd birthday and we celebrated together over lunch with her 94 year old sister. In the photograph, my mother is the lady standing and my Aunt Mary is sitting as she has suffered a stroke.

Unfortunately, both of these lovely ladies are somewhat disabled as my mother has a bad hip. However, both Mom and Aunt Mary always wear a fantastic smile on the face and share their joy of living with others on a daily basis. That is their way of giving back.

Giving back can be as simple as giving someone a smile or helping put a smile on someone's face. Make today and every day something special for someone else.
