Greetings from the Gatineau Hills in Quebec,

What a fantastic week I had in Calgary. I was there primarily to speak to the members and guests of the Canadian Marketing Association but I managed to get into the city early enough to attend my friend Jim's surprised 50th birthday party. What a surprise it was for him.

The party took place in a car dealership showroom. All his family and friends gathered to wait his arrival.

Jim thought he was invited to a private viewing of a special car that was not displayed earlier at a car show. His friend, who owns the dealership, enticed him over to see this car first hand.

Jim got to see the car and everyone else. Surprise!

It was a wonderful evening. I met many new and interesting people. I also enjoyed the entertainment and car racing related activities.

Jim is a very successful individual who was my host while in Calgary. Jim, his family, and I had an amazing time together.

We managed to visit the Canadian Rockies and stayed a night at his home in Canmore, a one hour drive from Calgary.

Friends are valuable and Jim is one of my special friends.
